Description: Manages market research efforts to contribute to the development of long-term strategic marketing initiatives and audience-specific integrated marketing and communication plans for the organization.

Responsibilities Include:

Market Research

  • Manages market research, analytics, and measurement for marketing programs and services, including gathering and analyzing RSNA statistics across the organization and secondary research for use in developing marketing activities.
  • Conducts research and analysis, and makes recommendations to shape long-term strategy for organizational marketing and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Works with Assistant Director: Market Research and Brand Management to optimize a market segmentation strategy.
  • Uses demographic and behavioral information to understand key audience segments, market positioning, brand development, future trends, and strategic direction. Supports development of RSNA customer personas for use in marketing planning.
  • Works with Manager: Social Media to gather market research and customer insights via social channels.
  • Provides research-supported input on key marketing messages for integration into strategic marketing plans. Works with Marketing Strategy team to identify opportunities to leverage research outcomes.
  • Develops reports to communicate out on results of market research activities to internal and external audiences.

Project Management

  • Develops timelines for and manages market research projects including creating specifications, assessing bids, aligning internal and external stakeholders, identifying audiences, overseeing implementation and delivering reports.
  • Helps manage the RFP/bidding process for onboarding market research vendors.
  • Handles other projects as assigned.
  • Maintains records of research findings, analyses and recommendations.


  • Bachelors' degree required; MBA a plus (concentration in Market Research preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 -5 years relevant professional experience in marketing environment.
  • Experience managing market research projects and translating results into actionable insights.
  • Excellent judgment and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience establishing timelines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Adept with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to assess processes and implement change to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to an organization's mission.
  • Thrives in fast paced, changing environment.
