Description: The Quality Assurance Analyst II role is to support QA lead to develop by following quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization. This will include running manual and automated tests, and writing test plans for tracking defects and fixes.  The QA Analyst will apply proven technical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support QA lead by following quality assurance strategies, measures and testing standards.
  • Design, develop, execute manual tests, performance tests (e.g. Jmeter), test scripts (e.g. sql) and perhaps automated tests. Report and communicate test results utilizing communication best practices.
  • Assist in conducting internal assessments to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards.
  • Follow QA process to develop and manage test plans. Work with cross functional teams to execute critical path items in QA.
  • Support QA lead to verify and revise quality assurance standards as needed.
  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
  • Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load, stress, and acceptance testing methods.
  • Provide defect prevention recommendations through product specification reviews, and make quality improvement recommendations to programmers and software developers or engineers.
  • Utilize communication best practices written, verbal, and presentation to communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
  • Test any new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.
  • Analyze test results in order to discover and report and defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
  • Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.


  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, or equivalent work experience in IT field.
  • At least four (4) years' experience fulfilling IT QA roles.
  • Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies.
  • Proven success track record performing QA role in large software development projects end-to-end.
  • Experience in test automation development is a plus.
  • Experience in software development is a plus.
  • Understanding of performance testing (e.g. Jmeter). Experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of HTML and SQL
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to follow conventions for code, test cases, and bug reports.
  • Excellent team player working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is must.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in fast pace and dynamic work environment is must.
  • Extensive experience in web based application testing.
  • Strong skills to understand and create test plans and test cases from specifications or system scope documents.
  • Experience in developing scripts for back-end load and stress tests a plus.
  • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Keen attention to details.
