Description: Assists with all areas of the department, handles administrative duties related to committees, calendars, content updates, media coverage and project tracking, invoice processing and record-keeping.

Responsibilities Include:

  • General office responsibilities: maintains department files, handles mail distribution, manages department calendars, processes invoices and orders, and inventories supplies.
  • Organizes committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, travel arrangements, meeting room and equipment reservations, registration services and meeting minutes and reports.
  • Processes departmental correspondence.
  • Assists with management and tracking of content updates.
  • Assists with the Public Information Advisors Network (PIAN) program, including communication of issues and results.
  • Coordinates delivery of materials, equipment, supplies, etc., to the Annual Meeting and assists with preparations for the Newsroom, including development and distribution of press kit and scheduling RSNA On-the-Air interviews.
  • Assists in operation of the Annual Meeting Newsroom, including setting up and staffing Newsroom reception desk, updating onsite media reports, coordinating RSNA On-the-Air, and providing other staff assistance as needed.
  • Performs other general duties, including compiling the Newsworthy Abstract Selection documents and organizing the review process, assisting with gathering and formatting images for the Web and Newsroom, updating the International Day of Radiology website, updating the PIAN database and assisting with Radiology Cares website content.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent administrative and writing skills, including computer skills with Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop
  • Experience with data entry and/or media relations software a plus
  • Excellent writing, telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-directed
  • Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
