Description: Responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of RSNA's LAN/WAN, Cloud Networking and Telephony Infrastructure. This role will also be responsible for designing, implementing and testing complex infrastructure in support of our applications, services, and clients. Finally, this role will also successfully demonstrate the skills required to secure and manage network infrastructure to protect productivity, mitigate threats and reduce costs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Advises and collaborates on network and telephony architecture strategy, standards, and/or objectives in alignment with RSNA IT and business objectives.
  • Responsible for RSNA company wide network architecture and operations. Introduces architectural design/standards from external vendors. Consults on the evaluation of new technologies in support of RSNA IT, security and business objectives.
  • Design, install, maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN and Wireless infrastructure across our office sites, data center and cloud environments.
  • Work with internal staff and network vendors in support of network design, implementation and administration of all Network Operations (LAN/WAN/WLAN) during RSNA annual meeting.
  • Design and Administration of Firewalls.
  • Design, and Administration of Telephony (PBX/Call Center) infrastructure and services.
  • Perform network assessments and security audits.
  • Secure and monitor network with IPS/IDS tool, Layer 3-7 firewalls, system hardening and log analysis.
  • External/third-party/partner access configuration and administration.
  • Working across teams and resolving issues that support tiers have escalated.
  • Administration of third-party network services, such as GoDaddy, Route 53, ARIN, etc.
  • Monitor Network Performance and Integrity.
  • Maintain complete technical documentation.
  • Network and telecommunication vendor management and escalation.


  • 5 years + of industry-related experience as Network Engineer or Network Administrator
  • Experience with Switching and Routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, EGP, IS-IS)
  • Solid background in network administration and architecture
  • Experience with WAN Technologies (MPLS, VPLS, EVPL, VPN)
  • Experience with Voice Technologies (VoIP and SIP)
  • Experience with network/security devices from Cisco, Palo, Alto, Fortinet, Juniper and Extreme
  • Professional certification such as, CCNA, CCNP, etc
  • Familiarity with network security concepts and tools
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools
  • Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS, etc)
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience dealing and escalating issues with network and telecom vendors
