Description: Responsible for implementing and supporting Research Development activities and programs of the Department of Research.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Works closely with the Director: Department of Research to manage research development and grant-writing programs at and outside of the RSNA Annual Meeting, including: Advanced Course in Grant Writing, Clinical Trials Methodology Workshop, Writing a Competitive Grant Proposal Workshop, Introduction to Academic Radiology, Introduction to Research for International Young Academics, Comparative Effectiveness Research Training, Creating and Optimizing the Research Enterprise Workshop, and the NIH Grantsmanship Workshop.
  2. Provides staff support to the Director: Department of Research, for meetings and teleconferences of the Committee on Scientific Affairs and Research Development Committee, and their respective workgroups. This includes logistical arrangements, preparation of agenda materials, writing accurate and timely meeting minutes, and data collection and reporting.
  3. Responsible for the planning, management and implementation of program application/registration processes, as well as development and dissemination of program promotional materials via printed and electronic media, including announcements in RSNA News and other digital communications.
  4. Works closely with the department Coordinator to oversee accurate record keeping, including CME documentation, for all research development and grant writing programs, and has primary responsibility for creating and maintaining procedure documents.
  5. Working with Survey Research and Program Evaluation and Education Center staff, responsible for planning regular longitudinal evaluation surveys for each program and data tracking, as required.
  6. Responsible for maintenance and content management of the Science- and Research- related web pages on the RSNA Website and creates and maintains program-specific webpages, Dropbox folders and Listservs.


  1. Four-year College degree
  2. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  3. Demonstrable experience in writing accurate, succinct and timely meeting summaries and data reports
  4. Extremely detail-oriented
  5. Ability to work independently
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to strict program timelines
  7. Prior experience in association management desirable
  8. Prior experience in meeting planning and support desirable
  9. Experience in and comfort with team-oriented approach to project planning and implementation
  10. Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  11. Experience working with Adobe Acrobat Professional, Google Forms, and content management software highly desirable
  12. Availability to work some Saturdays
