Description: Responsible for implementing and supporting RSNA activities in Middle East/Africa and Asia/Oceania and managing support to related committees.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Serves as the Society's key contact for all activities based in Middle East/Africa and Asia/Oceania regions.

  2. Manages all logistics and coordination of Spotlight courses executed in Asia/Oceania and Middle East/Africa regain. This includes market research for location selection, vendor and venue selection, price modeling, revenue projections and budget management.

  3. Actively manages three international committees including: Regional Committees for Middle East/Africa (RCME/A), Regional Committee for Asia/Oceania (RCAO) and Committee for Chinese Relations (CRC). Duties include agenda development, proactive volunteer engagement, and execution of committee approved directives.

  4. Supports the Committee for International Radiology Education (CIRE) and serves as main staff contact. Coordinates agenda and program selection communications.

  5. Develops strategy for growing and manages existing international outreach activities in Middle East/Africa and Asia/Oceania, including the RSNA International Visiting Professor Program, Derek Harwood Nash International Visiting Fellowship, and Journal Subscription Award Program. Supervises the IVP planning and monitoring process for the teams and host society visits.

  6. Serves as project manager for international travel activities in Asia/Oceania and Middle East/Africa overseeing all country research, logistics, booth management, pre-meeting planning and debriefing meetings.

  7. Leverages regional relationships to coordinate activities and facilitate local champion engagement, including organizing activities for pre and post annual meeting events in key regions.

  8. Works with marketing department to manage internationally focused marketing campaigns, maintains international marketing pages, and supports committee pages.

  9. Oversee accurate record keeping, including documentation for all international programs, providing procedure documents, and maintaining volunteer databases.

  10. Supports all international-related activities essential to meet the goal of enhancing RSNA's status as a worldwide leader in radiology.


  1. Bachelor's Degree required

  2. 5 or more years of experience in international business, preferably in healthcare

  3. Strong experience with volunteer management and committee administration

  4. Understanding and familiarity conducting business and/or executing international events, experience in Asia/Oceania preferred

  5. Experience with market research and planning

  6. Strong written and oral communication skills

  7. Excellent diplomacy and cross-cultural communication skills

  8. Ability to work well in a team environment with staff and volunteer leadership

  9. International travel to various meetings required

  10. Chinese, Korean, or Japanese language skills preferred

  11. Involvement with altruistic mission based activities preferred
