Description: Writes original copy for RSNA marketing projects and communications for print and web. Proofreads, edits, conducts research and interfaces with RSNA staff.

Responsibilities Include:

Ideation

  1. Meets with marketing team and staff from respective departments to understand audiences, media, goals and key messages in order to write copy for marketing pieces.
  2. Researches topics, interviews experts for RSNA publications.
  3. Brainstorms and develops concepts for marketing projects and web content.

Content Creation

  1. Writes copy for marketing pieces including advertisements (print and digital), email, websites, direct mail, signage, brochures, newsletters (print and digital), letters and other marketing projects as assigned.
  2. Works closely with the web team and content strategy team to write, edit and proofread website copy for RSNA.org.
  3. Provides samples for A/B testing of copy, evaluates results and refines copy for greatest impact.
  4. Prepares scripts for presentations, videos and tutorials as needed.

Review & Editing

  1. Utilizes best practices for each type of marketing piece and evaluation of past RSNA projects to construct high-quality messages that help to achieve the Society's goals.
  2. Helps maintain quality control of marketing pieces by serving as a proofreader on projects as assigned.
  3. Collaborates with content strategist to update the RSNA Marketing Style Guide; maintains organizational voice, style and brand standards in marketing and communications.
  4. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in communications, journalism, English, PR or related field
  2. 3 - 5 years relevant professional experience in marketing environment
  3. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  4. Ability to write for various channels including print, web, email, advertisements, signage, etc.
  5. Willingness to collaborate with teams and experts across the organization
  6. Ability to think strategically and use institutional knowledge, best practices to develop copy aligned with the objectives of the organization and departments
  7. Ability to write for audiences diverse in age, nationality, professional status, et
  8. Ability to write compelling sales messages to sell exhibit space, sponsorships, etc.
  9. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
  10. Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  11. Ability to summarize medical research in lay language
  12. Previous healthcare writing and/or association experience a plus
