Description: Assists in the maintenance and expansion of all Academic Societies, IHE, and RSNA related sites. Produces designs, layouts, and graphics for online content and e-communications.  Ensures that web projects and e-communications display correctly across mobile, tablet, and pc platforms.  Builds online content and e-communications.  Makes usability and design recommendations based on a knowledge of web design best practices and standards.  Understands individual and department needs and provides recommendations on web projects.

Responsibilities Include:

Design & Production Initiatives

  1. Design and build user interfaces for RSNA's growing array of Web and mobile services.
  2. Design and produce e-communications for marketing department.
  3. Work with web team and graphic designers to create graphics that provide a consistency of look and feel across the site and focused identity for particular sections of RSNA.org and related society web sites.
  4. Optimize websites for mobile devices through responsive design.
  5. Work with website administrators, user experience designers, and marketing managers to design presentable, useable, and consistent interfaces that adhere to brand guidelines.
  6. Assist webmasters with the regular maintenance of websites through HTML & CSS coding as well as the third-party CMS. 

Project Management

  1. Reviews work for quality and adherence to design standards.
  2. Adheres to tight deadlines and provides status updates to supervisor and project managers.
  3. Does research to resolve web design/development issues where necessary.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in web design or equivalent area of study
  2. 3-5 years of web design and development experience
  3. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  4. Proficient in use of HTML & CSS (Other web scripting languages a plus)
  5. Excellent user interface design and composition skills
  6. Experience in responsive design for mobile devices
  7. Experience with content management systems (Sitecore preferred)
  8. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  9. Ability to meet tight deadlines
  10. Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  11. Excellent communication skills
