Description: Provides marketing support to the director and the marketing department.  Assists the department with the planning, implementation and tracking of marketing and social media activities.


Responsibilities Include:

Strategic Marketing Support

  1. Supports marketing managers in the development, implementation and execution of fully integrated, strategic annual marketing plans by managing work requests (including emails, writing copy and direct mail), obtaining price quotes, creating job and purchase orders and interfacing with vendors. May be assigned to shadow a Marketing Manager to assist with specific department tactics.  Occasionally participates in and presents in meetings with other departments.
  2. Assists Manager: Social Media with social media efforts, which may include scheduling posts, monitoring accounts and creating reports.
  3. Writes, edits and proofreads promotional copy for print and Web. Manages development of monthly and quarterly member newsletters.
  4. Assists Marketing Strategy team in the preparation of annual budget by gathering and entering data.
  5. Supports Assistant Director: Market Research and Brand Management and Manager: Market Research in the collection and compilation of promotional and competitive analyses.
  6. Manages photography schedule for the annual meeting. Works at the annual meeting as needed.
  7. Suggests ways to improve department processes and record keeping. Works closely with Director: Marketing on brainstorming and implementing team building and communication enhancing initiatives.


  1. Provides administrative support to the director and the marketing department.
  2. Schedules meetings and prepares the weekly department agenda.
  3. Assists with domestic tradeshow booth coordination including logistical planning, organization and execution. Orders tradeshow materials and coordinates shipping.
  4. Assists with annual meeting marketing material preparation, including printing, preparing and organizing shipment of materials, and other activities.
  5. Maintains department invoices and files.


  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required                    
  2. One to three years of experience in marketing
  3. At least one year of professional social media experience
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of marketing principles
  5. Excellent organizational and project management skills
  6. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MS PowerPoint, Adobe and Outlook; familiarity with Google Analytics and email software a plus
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  8. Must be organized, motivated, flexible and have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  9. Excellent interpersonal skills; interacts effectively and professionally with                                         individuals at all levels and outside vendors
