Description: Uses available insights and data to understand RSNA's business goals and user needs, and creates strategies to meet goals through the creation and delivery of content across print and digital platforms.  Manages content governance process, and ensures all content adheres to RSNA brand voice, tone and style.

Responsibilities Include:

Content Strategy

  1. Collaborates with Assistant Director: Market Research and Strategy to develop strategies and goals for RSNA content. Identifies success factors and ways to measure content performance.  Makes recommendations to improve quality and delivery of RSNA content.
  2. Responsible for all content strategy deliverables, including content inventory, content models, gap analysis, organizational style guide and editorial calendar.
  3. Works with Marketing Content Writer to update and maintain the RSNA organizational style guide. Oversees voice, style and brand standards in marketing and communications.
  4. Partners with market research to understand RSNA audiences. Analyzes customer feedback in order to improve content strategy.
  5. Collaborates with Assistant Director: Market Research and Strategy on content governance workflows and decisions.
  6. Collaborates with Marketing Strategy team to develop and maintain RSNA's content marketing strategy. 

Supervision & Leadership

  1. Supervises the Marketing Content Writer, and oversees workflow of marketing copy projects.
  2. Ensures all content created within the Marketing Department supports user engagement goals.
  3. Edits content for grammar, clarity and adherence to RSNA voice, tone and style guide. May act as a back-up to Marketing Content Writer.
  4. Collaborates with subject matter experts outside the Marketing Department to understand RSNA products, programs and services.

Requirements: 

  1. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, English, PR or related field
  2. 5-7 years relevant professional experience in marketing, communications or editorial environment
  3. Experience collaborating with UX designers, UI designers and content writers
  4. Excellent judgment and strategic thinking abilities
  5. Experience developing and maintaining a content strategy, and telling compelling brand stories across a variety of platforms
  6. Experience developing content marketing strategies, including blogs, preferred
  7. Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills with acute attention to detail.  Excellent editing and proofreading skills
  8. Strong project management skills with the ability to assess processes to improve quality
  9. Ability to develop strong relationships and build consensus with staff at all levels
  10. Highly creative and resourceful
  11. Previous supervisory experience required
  12. Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to organization's mission
  13. Thrives in fast paced, changing environment
